He (ﷺ) provides a profound warning: whoever wanders into doubtful territory is like a shepherd grazing his sheep near a king’s private pasture—it is only a matter of time before the sheep cross the line.
The "Heart of the Matter":
The Hadith concludes with one of the most famous anatomical and spiritual descriptions in Islam: "Truly, in the body there is a piece of flesh which, if it is sound, the whole body is sound, and if it is corrupt, the whole body is corrupt. Truly, it is the heart."

Safeguarding Religion and Honor: The Prophet (ﷺ) states that the one who avoids doubtful matters saves two things: their Religion (before Allah) and their Honor (before the people).
The Danger of the "Edge": Many people try to see how close they can get to a sin without actually committing it. This Hadith warns that proximity to sin usually leads to falling into it.
The Heart as the King: The limbs only move according to the state of the heart. If the heart is filled with the fear of Allah, it will instinctively avoid anything that might displease Him.
Why it's in the "Book of Belief": Imam al-Bukhari uses this to show that Iman is not just about avoiding "major sins," but about a high level of Taqwa (God-consciousness) that stays away from anything unclear.
